Ben Harper Philadelphia Concert reviews
Eric Church is a Rockstar!
"Before the show, I was a casual fan of Ben Harper. I had checked out some youtube videos and liked some of his songs, and had seen him on a few award shows. I heard he put on a great show, so decided to get tickets for the Phoenix show. We were in the building, but just barely, last row of section 219, so we were in the nosebleed section for sure. Once the show started, I was hooked. The sound quality from the cheap seats and video screens made it very enjoyable. Ben Harper has an amazing stage presence with a rock band behind him. He genuinely enjoyed the applause and energy of the audience, and seemed very appreciative of the overwhelming response to several songs. A few highlights for me were the cover of the Beatles Get Back, and when Ben went under the stage for a shot at the Jack Daniels bar with Michael Phelps. To be clear, Michael Phelps only drank from his water bottle, no shot. Still a very cool moment. I also loved the rendition of Mixed Drinks and feelings. His female back up singer can belt it out. The crowd was totally into the show singing background on almost every song. Great show packed with all the hits and a few surprises. Even if you're not a big country fan, do yourself a favor. Go see Ben Harper. You won't be disappointed with his 3+ hour show."
